William "Bill" Kelly was born on December 3, 1944 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of John and Janet (Martinson) Kelly. He grew up in the twin cities and graduated from Anoka High School. Not long after high school he served in the United States Army. He was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. He returned home and worked for Eco-lab in inventory control. On August 17, 1974, he was united in marriage to Diane Brusletten. For a short time he worked as a furniture salesman, and then worked as a purchasing manager for both ADC and MVE companies. His last job was in wholesale metal sales. Bill retired in 2006. He was a member of the NRA and the Colt Collectors Association. He was an avid gun collector and enjoyed going to gun shows. He was always wheeling and dealing in Rock and Roll Art Posters. He also collected Poster Art and especially enjoyed vintage pin-up posters. He and Diane enjoyed boating and traveling to Mexico and Las Vegas as well as other locations. After a prolonged battle with illness, Bill died at his home in Mound, Minnesota on Monday morning, July 4, 2016, at the age of 71.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Susan Kelly and Barbara Lane; his uncle, William Kelly; mother and father-in law, Herb and Anne Brusletten; sisters-in-law, Nancy Brusletten and Mary Brusletten.
Surviving family members include his loving wife, Diane; daughter, Lisa (Jason) Secord; grandson, Jamie (Ashley) Kelly; three great grandchildren: Averley, Paycen and Camden; brothers, James and Jerry Anderson; brothers-in-law: Greg (Judy) Brusletten, Gerry (Julie) Brusletten, Ron Brusletten, and Lorne Brusletten; sisters-in-law: Bonnie (Mike) Jackelen, Julie (Daryl) Iverson, and Lori (Rod) Olson. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.


Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williamson-White Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Amery Cemetery with military honors being rendered.
