Zachary Daryl Herpst, age 40, of Amery, WI passed away unexpectedly on September 22, 2023.
He was born in Amery, WI on December 6, 1982 to Penny Katherine Herpst and Todd Alan Harris, and spent his childhood growing up on the Apple River next to Grandpa and Grandma Herpst where he played with the neighborhood kids and helped Grandpa with his projects around the house. Zach went to school in Amery. He later fell in love with music and learned to play guitar and other instruments. After graduating high school Zach and his friends played in a band. Zach was seldom without his guitar. Zach also spent countless hours in his art work, drawing, painting and sculpturing various props from his favorite movies and shows. He was all about creating, exploring and figuring out how things worked. Zach brought laughter to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Zach is survived by his parents, mother, Penny (Chris) Iwaszko and father, Todd Harris; step – father, Robin Fina; siblings, Cameron Fina, Izabella Iwaszko, Jenny (Matt) Dineen, TJ (Alysia) Harris, and Jake (Jess Sha) Harris. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Daryl and Darlene Herpst and Leonard (Bud) and Gerry Harris.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 4 to 7 pm at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery. The Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11:00 am at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amery, with a visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial will be held in East Immanuel Cemetery in Amery, WI.
